Introduction: Planning in TraQQr

When we were designing our planning software, we discovered a few things:
1: Everyone can read a GANTT chart, but they still allow a lot of information.
2: Most planners usually already know what needs to be done when someone calls in sick, and software should make this easy to do.
3: is that planning, even though it's complicated, in general repeats itself with a pattern throughout the year.

We built our software accordingly, which you can read more about in detail below.

GANTT overviews

A screenshot of our personnel overview. This GANTT chart creates a row for every person with planning in the selected timeperiod. You can then see all planning from that person.
The fields can be coded to display which shift a person's working on, the colors can be configured and additional columns can be selected.
Of course, the overview can be filtered to only display certain types of planning and/or people from a specific department, location, function, employer, and so on.
The overview can be exported to Excel with the press of a button.

A screenshot of our shift overview. This GANTT chart shows a header per shift. Then within each shift, there is a row for each function within the shift (which can be custom ordered based on importance).
This overview is ideal for companies or locations that require a set amount of people on a shift, as you can easily spot GAPS in this overview per function and then easily fill them up with the most suitable personnel.
The colors can be configured and additional columns can be selected.
Of course, the overview can be filtered to only show certain functions and/or shifts and can be exported to Excel with the press of a button.

Automate planning

When doing the planning, you will typically use rotations.
For example your typical office plannning is 5 days at work, then 2 days off.
An offshore example is work for 30 days, then 2 weeks off. And then maybe every 4 rotations an extra week.
These rotations can be entered in TraQQr and then used to create planning according to that schedule for individuals, or entire departments at once.
See the video for an example.

Easy conflict and gap solvings

When you create planning that will conflict with other planning of the same employee, we will automatically remove the earlier planning if possible.
This results in almost all your conflicts being resolved by default.
If your employee is working on a project that requires replacements, you'll be able to fill the GAP immediately.
A quick example is shown in the following video, where an absence is created that immediately adjusts the conflicting 2 plannings:
